Todd twisted my arms a few different ways on Saturday to get me to go along on a little fishing trip down in Cottonwood at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. I wasn't totally opposed to the idea, I could have come up with 10 other things that I thought I'd rather do. I'm glad I went! It was a dreary day (like most days have been this winter) and chilly, probably perfect weather for fishing. Owen and Macey had a ball and Todd was reminded many times that taking the kids fishing is a whole different scene than going with the guys. We spent about 5 hours down there, much of time untangling line, putting bait on the hooks again, and doing what we could to prevent Macey from falling in the water. Fortunately, the kids love wearing their life vests and didn't feel ready until they were on and clipped. No one went in. There were some other folks there, all very friendly and seemed happy to see little kids out there. We also met our friends Doug and Anna there, who recently moved down to the area from Flagstaff. It was a super fun day and we'll be having grilled trout for dinner tonight.

You guys are always so full of outdoor adventure-your kids are lucky! Sometimes the best memories come from things we originally didn't feel like doing. Good job on twisting Lynn's arm, Todd! :) How was the trout?
