Fall in the Peaks

We spent the morning in The Peaks on one of our favorite trails to catch the beautiful aspen leaves while still in full color. It was cold, there was even snow on the ground in spots and we could see it up on the trees a little further up the mountain. We were literally hiking through the clouds, which made the colors super bright and a really nice change for hiking weather. Owen ran almost the whole way, and Macey tired out rather quickly but still had fun. I miss taking our dogs with us on these hikes like we used to all of the time, but it was still awesome!

  1. These are such terrific pictures. Really nice shots. Timeless and memorable. Great job getting out there for what looks like an awesome fun hike. Owen and Macy look cuter than ever, as do their cute parents. There is nobody out there that can Firth as good you guys.

  3. Nice family hike! Did Macey end up in a backpack? I can't believe there is snow already! How cool! I remember reading an article in Backpacker magazine once about kids and how far they can hike/walk at different ages. I remember being really impressed at how far little kids can go. Enjoy the colours!
